Trash Pump Safety

These safety precautions should be followed at all times when operating trash pumps.

EXHAUST GASES
Gas engine exhaust gases contain poisonous gases. Never operate this equipment in a confined area. It is designed for outdoor use only. If the water you want to pump is inside, locate the pump outside and run the suction hose into the building.
EXPLOSIVE FUEL
Gasoline is extremely flammable. Its vapous can cause an explosing if ignited. Do not start the engine of the pump near spilled fuels. Do not over-fill the fuel tank as the spillage could become a hazard.
BURN HAZARD
Gas engines generate large amounts of heat when they're running. Do not touch the engine when it's running. Always grab the roll cage when picking up and moving this trash pump.
ROTATING PARTS
Never operate the pump with guards and/or covers removed. The internal parts of the pump move at high speed and can cause serious injury.
ACCIDENTAL STARTING
Always leave the engine switch in the OFF position to prevent accidental starts of the pump.
HEARING HAZARD
Gas engines make a lot of noise. Always wear hearing protection.
READ THE MANUAL
Always, always, always read the operator's manual before using the equipment.
